Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Therapist
Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Therapist
Kerry and Steve provide compassionate, empathetic and caring support for people looking for long-term healing from trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), anxiety, and depression utilizing a unique form of psychedelic somatic therapy. Their holistic approach to going to the core of trauma follows the philosophy of biology before psychology. This is done through a unique from of psychedelic therapy known as Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP). In contrast to other somatic approaches, this model accesses the autonomic nervous system's innate healing abilities in conjunction with patient provided legal and accessible psychedelic medicines to release and process trauma.
As part of OmTerra's holistic approach, we work with body, mind and spirit. We work with body as the foundational core to one's healing path. With mind, we help you detangle the habitual patterns and thinking that have been built to manage trauma. And lastly, when someone is ready, we can help facilitate journeys of the spirit.
Kerry Myers is based in Portland, OR and Steve Elfrink is based in Grants Pass, OR.
Areas of Expertise in Psychedelic Therapy
We work with people who are dealing with sexual abuse history, birth trauma, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. We utilize:
*Psychedelic Somatic Therapy
Psychedelic Medicine Integration
*OmTerra does not provide, prescribe, or distribute any drugs or pharmaceuticals.
OmTerra does not currently provide psilocybin therapy. We will be offering this service in 2023 when it is legal through Proposition 109.
The biggest thing to know is - there is nothing wrong with you and there is nothing to figure out. Most people with symptoms of PTSD, trauma, anxiety, or depression are experiencing a biological process - how the body stores trauma. Many of us have spent years or even decades trying to heal our trauma through talk therapy, yoga, spiritual groups, self-help books, medicine journeys, workshops, etc., but are still dealing with symptoms. We have developed a myriad of methods for coping with and suppressing our unconscious feelings and painful experiences, but they remain stored in the body. The good news is that the autonomic nervous system is innately wired to release held trauma when we utilize the tools that allow our bodies to access the stored charges associated with their trauma.
Kerry and Steve utilize a unique form of therapy called Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy - or PSIP - which allows for the body's powerful, autonomic healing process to be activated.
About Kerry Myers
Kerry, OmTerra Co-Founder and Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Therapist, has a master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. Seeing the limitations and lack of efficacy in conventional talk and somatic therapies, for both herself and her clients, Kerry decided to pursue other professional avenues of bringing lasting transformation to people. On a quest for her own healing, Kerry uncovered a childhood of repressed sexual abuse working within the Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP) model. Through her own incredible path of healing using this model came a knowing of her passion to help others experiencing PTSD, Complex PTSD, anxiety, and depression, and especially those with a known or suspected history of sexual abuse using PSIP. Prior to founding OmTerra, Kerry worked briefly as an MFT with an emphasis in Narrative Therapy. She also spent many years as an enrollment director for a beautiful Waldorf School in Southern California.

About Steve Elfrink
Steven, OmTerra Co-Founder and Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Therapist, is also the Co-Founder of the Psychedelic Somatic Institute (PSI), a psychedelic somatic therapist training organization. He was a participant in the 2015, Phase 1 FDA Pharmacokinetic Study of Psilocybin at UW-Madison that also studied the effects of high-dose psilocybin for adverse reactions. Steven had a first-hand experience of the benefits and shortcomings of the current non-directive model used in psychedelic therapy worldwide. This led him to creating OmTerra and PSI to expand the potential of psychedelic medicines utilizing a somatic focus. Steven brings 30 years of corporate experience in education and marketing to the psychedelic community and gratefully brings to the world his heart-felt passion for the advancement of psychedelic therapy and his commitment to help people who are suffering.

My name is Nicki and I am a clinical social worker in private practice in Salt Lake City. I have been trained in the PSI therapy modality and have had the opportunity to work with both Kerry and Steve. The work I have done with them has been transformational. They are incredibly knowledgeable about this work and deeply passionate about helping others learn to trust their bodies. Through their gentle and loving approach, Kerry and Steve helped guide me to places I had never accessed before. They created a container in which I felt completely safe and seen, which consequently allowed my nervous system to release trauma it had been holding onto for decades. It was truly one of the most profound experiences of my life. It has been a great
honor to know and work with Kerry and Steve.

If you have a chance to work with either Steve or Kerry, take it! The world of mental health counseling and therapy has had the trauma healing and recovery market cornered for decades; however, results and outcomes still fall short of the healing we all want and need. They expertly employ techniques that are leaps and bounds ahead of what current therapeutic modalities offer. If you are ready to uncover and discharge from your body the wounds and traumas you carry, you would be fortunate to work with Steve and Kerry.

Working with Steve and Kerry was nothing short of transformational. They created a space that felt safe, expansive and nurturing. In the face of challenging moments, Kerry guided me to compassion for myself, which allowed me to feel a deep sense of acceptance and groundedness. If you’re considering working with Steve and Kerry, I’d absolutely consider it. They’re a dynamic duo with years of lived experience and huge hearts to match.
